Unemployment: AEA trains 2,000 youths in one year

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the agency, Muhammed Tukur Arabi, who disclosed this in Abuja said beneficiaries received trainings in construction, beauty, manufacturing and agricultural sectors. He said the agency also empowered them with financial support ranging from N5, 000 to N20,000 each to kick-start their businesses.
He said: ‘’We are pleased to announce that AEA has put in place a Credit Scheme like the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Microfinance Bank, the Bank of Industry [BOI] where soft loans are given to beneficiaries to boost their business on a single digit rate not more than 9 percent. These financial assistance are made available to our graduates to properly finance their projects.’’
