Authorities of the Federal University, Gusau, Zamfara State, has dissociated the university’s students from a recent statement credited to National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) on the two weeks ultimatum given to the federal government to revert its decision on sacked 13 Vice Chancellors of new universities in the country.

Dean Students’ Affairs of the university, Professor Muhammad Lawal Mayanchi, who made this known yesterday, disclosing that the students of the University have no part in the decision, and were not represented during the meeting when the national leadership took the decision.

He noted that after consultations with other 12 universities that were established along with it in 2014, it was confirmed that no student of the 13 newly established universities was aware of the decision taken by the association before it was made, “they therefore have no part in it.”
