Gov. Hope Uzodimma of Imo has urged Christian faithful in the country to embrace the message of peace and goodwill which the birth of Jesus Christ signified.

Uzodimma made the call in his Christmas message on Wednesday.

The governor said Christ’s birth does not only bring light to the lives and hearts of believers but also reminded them of God’s immeasurable love.

He said the birth of Jesus Christ remained a profound source of joy and hope for humanity, a divine gift that continued to inspire love and unity across the ages.

“His birth reminds us of God’s immeasurable love, bringing light to our lives and hearts.

“It is in this spirit of gratitude and reverence that we gathered at the 2024 Imo State Christmas Carol to celebrate and glorify God Almighty, lifting our voices in praise for His boundless grace.
“As we reflect on the joy of the season, let us continue to embrace the message of peace and goodwill that Christ’s birth signifies,” Uzodimma said
