Uzodinma threatens to sack, hand over to police, corrupt EXCO members, aides
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has warned all newly appointed members of his Executive Council and those appointed to the areas of trust in his administration that he will not only remove any erring member, but they’ll be handed over to law enforcement agencies for prosecution.
Uzodinma gave the warning while delivering his opening speech at the opening session of the three-day retreat at the Imo Concorde Hotel, Owerri. He warned that the personal relationship with some of them should not be mistaken by them, stressing that his administration had zero tolerance to corruption, noting that the policy objectives must be adhered to and they must hit the ground running.
The participants include the yet-to-be sworn in 22 commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants among others were drilled to the theme of the retreat “Re energizing Imo- Sustainable Development: A Collective action of apt vision.”
He harped on the commitment to “Team new Imo” for result -driven performance and undiluted loyalty and duties for re-energizing Imo state.
