Udom to speak at 5th convocation ceremony

Former Akwa Ibom State Governor, Emmanuel Udom, will deliver a lecture titled, ‘Optimising Your Potential in a Challenging Future’ at the Mountain Top University 5th Convocation ceremony, scheduled to be held on Thursday, December 21 at the University Multipurpose Hall from 10.00 a.m.

The institution will likewise be celebrating a significant milestone as it marks the 5th time the university will be graduating students through an uninterrupted academic programme since the inception of the university in 2015.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Elijah Adebowale Ayolabi, who made this known, said the occasion is a landmark event, which underscores the university’s commitment and inclination to success.

Ayolabi said: “Exactly one year ago, we all gathered here for a similar occasion, while preparing for the 4th convocation ceremony of the university. Since then, the university has grown in leaps and bounds, which is evident in the uninterrupted academic progress in the last year.”

Speaking further, the VC, who recalled that from the inception of the university, one of the cardinal objectives was to ensure uninterrupted academic progress, added: “I am happy to announce to you that the university has not failed in that regard.

“Every year, students who meet the requirements for graduation pass out from this university with flying colours. This is part of our commitment and we will pursue it vigorously to maintain our reputation as a university of excellence in Nigeria and in the world at large.”
