Former Vice President Namadi Sambo is chairing the Board of Trustees (BOT) of Baze University, Abuja to enhance its productivity.
The Pro-Chancellor, Datti Baba-Ahmed, explained that members of the board were chosen based on their experiences and contributions to the education sector.

Other trustees include erstwhile Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Yayale Ahmed; one-time Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prof. Joy Ogwu; veteran administrator, Dr. Charles Aderemi Akintoye; and newspaper publisher, Sam Nda-Isaiah. Baba-Ahmed said the institution fulfilled federal character in the appointments.
