Vote for leaders with strong ideologies, Etukudo advises
Nigerians have been advised to vote for leaders with strong ideologies that will address agitations and yearnings of the people.
Zonal Superintendent, Apostolic Church of Nigeria, Akwa Ibom Territory, Apostle Ime Okon Etukudo, gave the advice while speaking with The Guardian.
Etukudo also stressed the need for a conference where people would make contributions to finding lasting solutions to problems in the country.
He said: “I want one Nigeria but we should have good leaders that will give to each geographical zone their own right. Ahead of 2023, we need good leaders with strong ideologies and leaders that make sound policies that will favour the common man on the street.
“The failure to sit down to discuss our problem since creation of Nigeria where every one will bare their minds has become a problem. We also need to instill fear of God in the hearts of our youths and groom them to be faithful leaders with passion for the masses.”
Presiding Elder in Eket Field Temple of the Apostolic Church, Godwin Edoho, in his remarks, called on government to tackle insecurity, poverty and unemployment in the country.
