VSF on COVID-19 donates elevator to federal ministry
Victims Support Fund Taskforce on COVID-19 has handed over a new 13-passenger elevator and Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) equipment to the Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH).
For over 20 years, the elevator in the ministry had been faulty making it a daunting task for workers to access the 11-storey edifice
Chairperson of the taskforce, Mrs. Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji, said it was part of its effort to support the activities of the ministry to cope with the pandemic.
She said: “We are here today to support the initiatives of the FMOH as a sustainable intervention with a world-class 11-floor Colley elevator, the kind you see in the World Bank, United Nations offices and international organisations is what we are donating to you this afternoon.
“In addition is a complete UPS, so that you will not experience what we see when electricity goes off in the building and human beings are stock in the elevator.”
