Ondo State governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has reiterated the commitment of his administration to continue to create enabling environment for artisans to thrive in the state, as the ultimate goal of his administration is to support the generation of significant number of vocational jobs for the teeming youths.

The governor declared this during the 2019 Artisans Day Celebration at the MKO Abiola Democracy Park, Akure. Deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi, Senator Tayo Alasoadura, Alaba Isijola and Kunle Adebayo attended the event.

According to him, a sum of N50 million has been given to the artisan group as loans from the state Micro Credit Agency as part of the contributions of his administration to the development of the vocational sector in the state.

Akeredolu, who said that power is critical to the activities of the artisans, revealed that his administration is harnessing the efforts of all stakeholders in the sector to ensure that power supply to Akure and the entire state to enjoy significant improvement.
