Wike canvasses support for Fubara
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has solicited support for the Peoples Democratic Party’s governorship candidate, Siminialayi Fubara, and his deputy, Prof. Ngozi Odu, saying the state will be safer under them.
The governor said both the PDP governorship candidate and his deputy are seasoned technocrats with requisite experience about the workings of government, and now have the capability to consolidate on the gains made, while continuing in the same development strides.
Wike spoke at the Kelechi Nwogu Legacy Stadium, venue of the campaign flag-off of the Rivers State PDP for Omuma Council yesterday. He recalled that he asked Omuma people to vote for him as governor in 2015 and 2019 and made promises that have all been fulfilled in terms of development projects in the area.
In that same vein, Wike said he had come back to ask for electoral support from them for Fubara because such support will secure more infrastructural development for them.
In his speech, Fubara, charged Omuma people to gear up to secure what the party has already offered by using their votes to make bold statement of support for the consolidation team.
Fubara said his focus, if elected, would building and developing human capacity that will drive development in the area. Director General of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council, Felix Obuah, thanked Omuma people for their resolve to deliver 100 per cent votes that will secure electoral victory for the consolidation team of the party.
