Wike swears in SSG, Chief of Staff, AG, others

The new Chief of Staff to Rivers State government, Emeka Nwaoke (right) taking his oath of office before Governor Nyesom Wike in Port Harcourt… yesterday.

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has sworn-in Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Tammy Danagogo, Chief of Staff, Government House, Chukwuemeka Woke, Attorney General, Dr. Zaccheus Adango and Commissioner of Finance, Isaac Kamalu.

The governor, who said the first appointments were made to facilitate the commencement of his second term and enhance development of the state, vowed that his administration would not appoint people who would run down his government.

Speaking yesterday at Government House, Port Harcourt, while swearing-in the appointees, Wike insisted that only people with capacity to deliver would be considered for appointments.

“These appointments are not based on sentiments, but on undiluted loyalty and competence. We will appoint those who believe in the vision and mission of the state government and those who will defend the government and its policies,” he stated.
