WimBiz presents award to The Guardian

The Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WimBiz) yesterday paid a courtesy visit to The Guardian at its Rutam House headquarters , Lagos, during which it presented an award of appreciation to the newspaper.

Speaking during the visit, the Executive Director of WimBiz, Omowunmi Akingbohungbe, explained that the award was in recognition of the newspaper’s unflinching support to the organisation over the years.

“This award is in appreciation for your unwavering support to the organisation and your dedication to amplifying women’s voices in leadership, business and public service,” Akingbohungbe said She also used the opportunity to acquaint the Publisher of the newspaper, Lady Maiden Alex-Ibru of the plans for the International Conference of the organisation billed to hold in London on June 14, this year, and also the annual conference, which will hold in November.

Responding, the publisher thanked WimBiz for the honour. She also noted that The Guardian has done remarkably well over the years in publishing impacting stories across all sectors and would continue to do so.
