Women in Successful Careers (WISCAR) 2018 Annual Leadership and Mentoring Conference themed: “Enriching Lives by Telling Our Own Stories” has been slated for November 24 at The MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos.

Immediate past President of Liberia, the first female to be elected president in Africa and one of five Mo Ibrahim Prize Winners, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf will deliver the keynote speech.

In a statement, the body said: “For WISCAR, leadership is achieving a deep resonance between self-leadership, interpersonal leadership and organisational leadership.

“At the Conference, WISCAR founder, Mrs. Amina Oyagbola has carefully selected a theme that builds on our core focus on mentorship.”

The mentor is a storyteller, one who draws on her own life experience as tools and signposts to provide guidance on what to do, what to avoid doing, and ways to do it successfully.”

According to WISCAR’s Executive Secretary, Fabia Ogunmekan, recommendations from the conference will help to drive the required legal, cultural, and policy changes for growth and national development.
