Afrobeats superstar singer Wizkid announced the title and release date of his fifth studio album on Sunday.

Fondly referred to as Big Wiz, the Grammy award-winning singer took to Instagram to celebrate the first anniversary of his previous album Made In Lagos, announcing that his next album would be titled More Love, Less Ego.

The singer in his post assured fans that he would not let them wait too long before releasing a new album.

Sharing a picture of his Made In Lagos album cover, the singer wrote in his caption section, “1 year already!! Thank you for riding with me. I’m just very grateful for all the love and blessings. Promised not to make you wait too long for the next one. “More Love Less Ego” dropping on the last day of tour! I love you!”

The Made In Lagos Tour will end in Montreal, Canada, on January 22, 2021, marking the release date for Wizkid’s next album.

Since its release in 2020, Made In Lagos has gained worldwide popularity, breaking records internationally. The album featured big names in the global music industry like Damian Marley, Skepta, H.E.R, Ella Mai, Burna Boy, Tems, and Terri.

Recording over one billion streams, Made in Lagos produced Africa’s first No1 top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

In August, Essence featuring Tems was the most searched song on global music search platform, Shazam.

Wizkid also released the Essence music video this year and followed it up with a remix version featuring Canadian singer Justin Beiber.

Essence Remix off the 18-track Made In Lagos Deluxe album hit a new peak in October, placing No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.

In 2020, Wizkid won his first Grammy award for his feature on Beyoncé’s Brown Skin Girl, a track off The Lion King: The Gift soundtrack.
