Wofai Samuel gets ForbesBLK recognition for her work in social service

Director of Communications, Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce at the IOT West Africa 2023 Conference in Lagos.

The Director of Communications, Government Relations and Advocacy at the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC), Wofai Samuel has been inducted as a member of ForbesBLK community, a recognition informed by her social service and commitment to impacting on humanity over the last four years.

Ayisha Mendez, the Community Manager of ForbesBLK, noted in a congratulatory message to Samuel that, the platform is for exceptional leaders of color who are driving a new culture of connection, collaboration and change. Mendez added in the letter that as a member of the community, Wofai now has access to networking and mentorship opportunities with other like-minded professionals across a variety of organizations, and an invitation to members-only platforms where she can engage in one-on-one conversations with community members and Forbes leadership.

Thrilled with this recognition of her dedication and service to humanity, Samuel expressed her delight, saying, “Having been previously profiled on Forbes Africa as shaping the continent, I am so elated to reconnect with this platform. I recently served as Chief Information Officer for a U.S. Sponsored Grant Project where I provided ample visibility for the work that female entrepreneurs do across Lagos.
Some of them faced the media for the very first time, shared their stories, achievements and challenges, which were all amplified to various networks and their learning outcomes were showcased.”

“Through the social platforms and work that I am involved with, I will continue to align with ForbesBLK’s vision of breaking down barriers, creating more equitable economies, and driving change,” she said.

In 2023, Samuel became an advisor and facilitator at Ace Global Leaders Excellence Network, a platform for female leadership in Washington DC.
She moderated the first ever United States Consulate General Alumni Summit in Nigeria and served as Chief Information Officer for U.S. Consulate General sponsored Women entrepreneurship Training.

She is the Publicity Secretary of the United States Government Exchange Alumni Association, a frequent speaker and facilitator at American Center and American Corner engagements, an alumnus of Young African Media Fellowship and Young African Leaders Initiative. She previously served as Communications Chair for the association.
