Pandemonium was let loose yesterday at the White House Correspondents Dinner, where security whisked United States of America President, Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, to safety after some gunshots were fired outside the event.

The U.S. President, wife and cabinet members had attended the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner at Washington Hilton but evacuated by Secret Service, which confirmed that the alleged shooter was arrested and in custody.

Trump, who confirmed his safety on his Truth Social Page, noted that he, alongside wife and other cabinet members, was safe from the pandemonium that rocked the annual media event.

He lauded the security personal for promptly stepping in to control the situation, adding that “Law Enforcement has requested that we leave the premises, consistent with protocol, which we will do, immediately.

“I will be giving a press conference in 30 minutes from the White House Press Brief Room. The First Lady, plus the Vice President, and all cabinet members, are in perfect condition. We will be speaking to you a half an hour.

“I have spoken with all the representatives in charge of the event , and we will be rescheduling with 30 days,” he said.
