Yakubu rates INEC high on service delivery

Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, has declared that no public institution in Nigeria had experienced major improvement in its operations from 1999 till date like his organisation.

Speaking at the post-election review of 2019 meeting with the second batch of electoral officers (EOs) in Abuja, Yakubu said the commission had enough human and material resources to achieve its mandates.

He noted that the aim of the interactive session was to explore ways to improve the system for better elections in the future.The INEC chief expressed the commitment of the umpire to boost the capacity of EOs and better exposure them to discharge their duties more creditably.
