The 58th birthday celebration of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, was on weekend marked with healthcare interventions and the commissioning of projects at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Jalingo, Taraba state.

The celebration underscored the importance of partnerships and interventions aimed at directly improving the welfare of citizens.

The Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, expressed satisfaction with Yilwatda’s decision to celebrate his birthday in the North-East, particularly in Taraba state.

Pate commended the APC chairman for making healthcare the centrepiece of his birthday celebration, describing health as one of the most important areas through which Nigerians could be united.

He said the health sector remained a critical foundation for national development, stressing that healthy citizens were central to the progress and prosperity of any society.

The minister also appreciated the Taraba State Government, the National Assembly and the people of the state for supporting and embracing the intervention.

The host of the celebration, Dr. Aisha Adamu Mohammed, said the choice of FMC Jalingo reflected a growing commitment to medical excellence and service to humanity.

According to her, the intervention and commissioned projects represented significant additions to ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery in Taraba state.

The high point of the event was the cutting of the birthday cake, which was held alongside the commissioning of landmark projects at FMC Jalingo.

The activities reinforced the central message of the celebration—that leadership should extend beyond positions and titles to the delivery of tangible benefits to the people.

For Yilwatda, the 58th birthday celebration was therefore not merely about festivities, but about giving, service and making a positive impact on humanity.
