Yoruba elders blame FG for Igboho’s continued detention in Cotonou

The Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE) has berated the Federal Government over the continued detention of Yoruba Nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly called Sunday ‘Igboho’ in Cotonou, Benin Republic.

Secretary-General of the Council, Dr. Kunle Olajide, who spoke with journalists in Ibadan after their meeting, yesterday, maintained that it was wrong for the Federal Government to continue facilitating Igboho’s detention in Benin Republic.

Olajide, however, said that Igboho should be treated in accordance with the law without any bias.

He said that Igboho remains a suspect until a competent court of law pronounces him guilty.
