The Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE) has lauded Afenifere for visiting All Progressives Congress’ (APC) National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, in Lagos.

In a chat yesterday with The Guardian in Ibadan, the YCE Secretary-General, Dr. Kunle Olajide, said the interest of the Yoruba nation was paramount, commending Afenifere for acting as fathers to all.

He said: “Why must anyone be surprised for the visit? They only disagreed to agree. The interest of Yoruba Nation remains paramount. And Tinubu is a foremost Yoruba leader and Afenifere has been in this business for a long time.”

“I commend the leaders for the step. They are true to fathers to all of us. That is what they have demonstrated. That is absolutely in order. In fact, they made me proud because the unity of Yoruba is paramount in the minds of the ethnic group.”
