Zone 13 gets new AIG

Hafiz Mohammed has resumed duty as Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police at Zone 13 Headquarters, Ukpo, Dunukofia Council of Anambra State.

Mohammad was the Commissioner of Police in Delta State before his latest posting to Anambra.

He took over from AIG Danmallam Mohammed, who was recently promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police less than six months that Zone 13 was established at Ukpo.

The Guardian gathered that Danmallam Mohammed is now the officer in charge of Training and Research Development, Force Headquarters (FHQ), Abuja.

In a chat with Journalists, shortly after the hand-over at 13 Zonal Headquarters Ukpo, yesterday, the new AIG assured the people of Anambra and Enugu states of his readiness to combat criminality in the zone.

He called for cooperation from members of the public, as he promised to put in his best in the fight against armed robbers, kidnappers and other criminals.

It was also gathered that the new AIG, who is among the recently promoted in the country, has since resumed duty.
