Zulum opens college for 109,311 orphans, widows

Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has inaugurated the Future Assured College (FAC) for 109,311 orphans and widows in Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps and communities.

Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has inaugurated the Future Assured College (FAC) for 109,311 orphans and widows in Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps and communities.

The college, sited on Damboa Road, has 24 classrooms, administrative block, library, orchard, as well as science, computer and home economics laboratories.

While commissioning the college, yesterday, in Maiduguri, the governor disclosed: “For any meaningful development to take place, education must be accorded the topmost priority,” adding that education was one of his government’s priorities.

“Today’s event is yet another breakthrough in the provision of education for our school age children,” he said.
