Zulum pledges water supply, road projects in Borno South
Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, celebrated this year’s Christmas with a pledge to ensure security, water supply and road projects in the southern part of the state.
The celebration, which coincided with his four-day working visit, terminated at Uba where he pledge to deliver all his campaign promises to the people and improve their living conditions.
In his message, Zulum said: “Let me take this rare opportunity to wish all of you a joyous and memorable celebration. I assure you of the protection of lives and property in communities of Borno South Senatorial District.
“This administration will not relent in providing good governance, transparency and accountability to the people.
“We are working round the clock engaging and supporting our military and other security agencies, continuously recruiting, equipping and mobilising eligible volunteers as Civilian JTF and hunters.”
Zulum stated that the hunters and members of Civilian JTF were being deployed to communities susceptible to insecurity of lives and property, vowing not to rest on his oars until Borno fully regained peace.
He pledged to redeem his campaign promises to provide water, good roads and quality education projects in Chul, Rumirgo, Uba, Sabongari Thampul and Mutukum communities, adding: “Primary schools in Chul, Sabongari Thampul and Magum Wamdio are to be built and rehabilitated next year.”
