Zulum tasks Borno permsecs on efficiency
Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has tasked permanent secretaries in the state to ensure prudence, probity and efficient management of human and material resources.
Zulum gave the task yesterday while swearing in 14 new permanent secretaries at the Government House, Maiduguri.
According to him, their appointments were based on competence, experience and quota system, which created the basis for inclusion without compromising meritocracy in the civil service.
“I’m urging all of you to be on your toes.
The tasks before us will require sleepless nights, sacrifices, commitments and dedication to duty, which we need to salvage the state and its residents,” he added.
