In this statement, three things have t be clarified:

1). Decrease of available land for agric.

Concerning this it should be noted that the decrease of land will not be owing to population increase alone. In fact, the greater factor will be Land ownership and use reform.

I opposed the Land ownership reform because it is intended for giving lands owned by poor Nigerian farmers and ordinary Nigerians to big biotech corporations—as investment promotion or alternative income drive—and to rich Nigerians who have suddenly become “farmers”. I also oppose it because these would apply Biotech-based agriculture and GMO-based farming on the lands and, hence, produce GM liquid and solid foods that are deficient of vital nutrients, are toxic, allergenic, carcinogenic, hormone disruptors, immune system deceivers and weakeners, and deadly.

2). “The need to feed ourselves will even become more acute”.

We should distinguish between feeding ourselves and killing or murdering ourselves, our children and future generations of Nigerians.

By this I mean that our native and natural/organic foods FEED us while GM foods because they are toxic, carcinogenic, immunogenic, allergenic, contain less nutrients, and lack vital nutrients, including heart-protecting nutrients, etc, KILL us and our children. They will kill future generations of Nigerians in greater number.

In other words, we have need to feed our selves with native and natural/organic and SAFE foods and not to kill/murder ourselves with DEADLY GM foods.

3). “be constantly prepared against our production potential especially from pests and weeds”.

Genetic RE-engineering-based agriculture is the cause of diseases or pests that devastate tomato, corn and other crops. In particular, the tomato disease that has devastated tomatoes across not less than six Northern states is due to the application of genetic RE-engineering to the development of so-called “high yielding” and “pest resistant” GM tomato.

Genetic RE-engineering being an imprecise and uniformity-creating mono agriculture/farming seed-development culture, its application produced tomato of one genetic make up or uniform/homogeneous tomato. The genetic uniformity enabled vertical transfer of the disease that attacked one tomato under wind vector and devastated all tomato of the same genetic uniformity.
