I want to address our President directly and very directly today. I want to speak to him directly in the language of prophecy. I want to speak to him very directly in prophetic rhetoric as I have been enjoined to do as par the principles gleaned by the gleaner from the Galactic Federation. 2027 is fast drawing near. Once December arrives, 2027 will draw nearer and nearer.
I won’t give our President the open sesame to his new or renewed treasure hunt. The prophecy I have been enjoined to give him contains ifs and dos and don’ts that will lead him (and his adversaries) to clues for the renewed treasure hunt which shall prove elusive and not elusive at the same time.
Before I begin what I must tell the President, let’s focus on equipping, empowering and activating the thoughts of some of the readers of this column for our common good. Of course, the thoughts of the readers, and the rhetoric contained in each one speaks truth to us, to wit: imagine not being permitted to speak or talk to our president or about our president; imagine not being allowed to laugh at or sing against or humour our president; imagine being a prisoner in our closet for criticising our president; imagine being tortured as 2027 draws near for saying what must be said or doing what must be done as 2027 draws nearer and nearer; imagine, imagine, imagine as political opponents and critics are hounded and hounded and hunted and hunted as 2027 tries to pass those whose political life it must pass by.
That’s the inevitable reality we and our president and his detractors and adversaries must not allow to happen. This and more we must make our good promise. Before we utter further utterances, let’s go to our readers whose rhetoric is not short of the rhetoric of brave resistance – depending on how you read and interpret it.
Dr Dafe Mukoro
Let me begin, Sir, by stating that your essay “Has President Tinubu been de-mystified” has a very technical title. The essay is knotty. Two things immediately came to mind in my analysis of the de-mystification of the president as I understood from your perspective. First is the unusual focus of his sight on his re-election in 2027 in the midst of unpalatable economic issues in the country. Second is the unpredictability of his political persona – even to his closest political friends and allies.
If the unravelling of these two issues form the fundamental blocks of the de-mystification of the Jagaban, then it’s all fine and good. But at the same time, the mystery of the whole process is that he seems to be the only person that can unravel his mystical status, which you again highlighted at the end of the piece.
Furthermore, the mysticism of the subject matter is intrinsically tied to the mysticism of the essay itself. This reminds me of the theatre of the absurd where both the subject matter and the content itself are intrinsically interwoven and interwoven and interlaced. This in itself is the mark of genus – your genius as a courageous writer-critic columnist, and unquestionable character of firm resistance.

Good morning, Prof., Sir, and thank you for my anonymous sobriquet. My oga, the almighty great SAN, used to speak very highly of the Emilokaneous one in Jagabanese terms. He still does but in somewhat subdued tones, as the pervading hardship, like rain, falls on us all. Generally, sycophancy now knows what and who not to worship any more and again and again. Sycophancy now knows the real meaning of hunger and pain.
Your piece was easy to read, to mean that I recognise the hard work and drainage that go into making writing easy to read. I have concluded the piece you would like to devour and will forward it to you once I am free to do so. You will certainly like it, master of immaculate writing of fearless temper. Have a good weekend, Sir.

First, thanks for your great essay on the Bola Tinubu presidency. The seeming metastasis of Tinubu oozes from a poor or lack of understanding of his political metamorphosis and grandstanding. Even his Yoruba compatriots allowed themselves to be misled by an ever-regrettable misjudgment that Tinubu shared of their inherent values and ethos. They trusted him with power as Governor of Lagos State – Yoruba land’s foremost political unit.
He whipped his promoters – the Afenifere elders – with snakes and scorpions. They regretted their indiscretion till their dying days. That grand error of 1998 was amplified nationally in 2023 when an unholy combination of the electoral umpire, the judicial process and the nation’s organic curmudgeons in the form of traditional rulers and religious leaders donated the presidency to Tinubu.
His poor performance at the centre stage is no accident. It is the legitimation of what many discerning people foresaw the Tinubu presidency to be. Obayuwana is one of the unsung raconteurs of our political history. He too as a starry-eyed legal practitioner played the unequal game with those he thought were on the same page with him.
Thankfully, he learnt early enough and reversed himself to the eternal credit of an untainted and clear-headed appraisal or review of the literature of the times – our times. The Ihonde lecture series is an opportunity for reaffirming our socio-political values of life more abundant for the people; of the sovereignty of the people.
As the gleaner and glimpser pondered these words, thoughts and sentiments and earlier ones – published and not published here – he found himself in seven different spiritual and mystical states of reveries at different times. On each occasion the prophetic revelation was the same: 2027 will be our presidential electoral year of the fury of the ugly and the ugly, of the ugly versus the ugly, of the unbeautiful and the unbeautiful, of the unbeautiful versus the unbeautiful.
2027 will be the year of our country’s presidential electoral tight-rope of unprecedented experience. Iron shall slice iron as never before witnessed. Despite all his shenanigans President Bola Ahmed Tibubu will have the edge – but on conditions that will be served him physically, spiritually and mystically in his dream states by emissaries from the Galactic Federation.
America, Britain, France, China and Russia are already bracing up for 2027 but their treasure hunt shall be de-activated at the appointed time when who shall prevail shall have his final real Galactic encounter when the three Supreme Spiritual Masters (Galactic Ones) shall reveal themselves to him.
Before then what is to be done? For President Tinubu in particular, his personal, private and public postures (his PPPP) must change drastically in favour of the workers, people and masses of his country your country my country our country. 2027 appears in its mirrorful mirror before this gleaner, this glimpser. Its large frame is its large frame. What is unsaid now should stay unsaid.
