SIR: One should not say it is too early to start complaining or rather, criticising the new administration. If what we were promised and expecting is not what is happening, then, we shouldn’t keep quiet till things go wrong.

The question is: Do APC members’ quest for who takes key positions at both the states and the federal assemblies, for public interest, party interest or individuals’ interest?

It is obvious that APC National Leaders are imposing some selected members of the party for principal or major positions in the National Assembly and even the states’ houses of assembly across the country. Is that right? Is that how democracy should be practiced? Is that how the change we are expecting would come?

Nigerians are no more fools, Nigerians cannot keep quite again, Nigerians are ready to ask questions and insist on getting the expected answers, Nigerians are ready to fight for their right, Nigerians cannot allow any person or group of persons to manipulate them anymore and Nigerians are now ready to bring the change they want even if their leaders are not willing to comply.

However, those who are thinking that they can still run the affairs of this country as family business to suit their personal plans for their own interest had better wake up and begin to have positive thoughts that can benefit Nigeria and Nigerians.

The elected governors, who promised their people heaven and earth during the campaign should stop complaining of paucity of funds. State governors who are owing workers’ salaries and allowances should be creative and think of what to do to realize money in order to settle their workers, as workers won’t listen to their complains but rather want their salaries and allowances paid to date.

Conclusively, President Muhammadu Buhari should know that whatever goes wrong anywhere in the country, he will be questioned and blamed, just as it happened during former president Goodluck Jonathan, therefore, he should not just keep quiet on issues in the states but, rather, try to be calling his governors to order when they deviate from their duties. Mr. President should know that the problems of state governors are his problems, most especially, non-payment of salaries and allowances of the workers.
