Sir: In addition to the ongoing extortion by the Park and Gardens Union, and indiscriminate use of force to coerce transporters to pay levies to them, the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) also use refuse collectors in Mosan Local Government Area to collect payments, they never provided service for.

Whereas these LAWMA’s refuse collectors never come to collect our refuse in ‘B’ Street at Shagari Estate, Mosan Local Government Area, they slam fictitious bills, which service was never provided, on consumers.

The refuse collection contract between LAWMA and the Consumer had been grossly one-sided: Refuse Collectors use the government to harass, intimidate and extort consumers to collect levies. We are calling on the Lagos State government to put its agency to order henceforth.
