Tribute to labour unionist, Ayodele Akele
Sir: According to Nature, there is a time for everything in this world. There is a time to plant and a time to harvest, a time to work and a time to rest, a time to laugh and a time to cry, a time to appoint and a time disappoint, a time to gain and a time to lose, a time to meet and a time to isolate, a time to pray and a time to answer prayers, a time to sleep and a time to awake, a time to rise and a time to fall, a time to pass and a time to fail, a time to be poor and a time to be rich, a time to be accepted and a time to be rejected, a time to be born and a time to die.
Farewell comrade Ayodele Akele (NCP, national general secretary). You shall be missed by all who benefitted from your dogged fights and struggles.
The death of Akele is a big shock to us. His death has caused pains and agony to humanity. His legacies as generalissimo will never be erased.
A quantity surveyor, labour unionist, former student unionist, activist, human right crusader per excellent, politician, dogged fighter, teacher of teachers, leader of leaders, a disciple of Gani, businessman, chairman, Gani Fawehinmi Memorial Organization (GAFAMORG), a loyalist of the truth, the conscience of the state, former NANS general secretary, two terms national general secretary of the National Conscience Party, two terms governorship candidate of NCP Lagos (2011 and 2015), one term Federal House of Representatives candidate of NCP, 2019 senatorial candidate of Lagos West.
He lived a life of struggle from the beginning to the end of his life. \You shall be remembered for being a highly and morally upright comrade in all your struggles for a better society which was the obvious reason for contesting for the governorship seat in Lagos State but you were rigged out by political thugs paraded as leaders in the state but you made a mark.
NCP Lagos State believed that you have played your own role as designed by Almighty God as a good friend, leader, comrade and brother, who would be remembered for his hard work, sense of humour and diligence in the service to humanity. We commiserate with bereaved family for the irreplaceable loss of their patriarch and pray Almighty God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss (Amen).
Please accept our sincere condolences.
Akele – KEU! KEU!! KEU KEU KEU!!!
