2027: Amaechi picks ADC’s Presidential Nomination Form

ADC chieftain, Chief John Oyegun

Former Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has picked the Presidential Nomination Form of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

In a post on its official X account on Saturday, the ADC said party chieftain Chief John Oyegun picked the form in the company of former Minister of Environment, Mohammed Abdullahi, Senator Nura Abatemi, Hon. Asita, Ike Bishop Okoronkwo (CEO Bishop Plus Media Services), alongside other notable Nigerians and political stakeholders.

Party officials were captured holding the official ADC forms amid press cameras and supporters wearing branded caps, confirming the formal process at the national headquarters.

This move signals Amaechi’s entry into the 2027 presidential race under the ADC, backed by endorsements from the party’s South South chapter and positioning him as a major opposition contender.

The former Governor of Rivers State could, however, be in direct competition with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar during the opposition party’s presidential Primaries.
