…Tasks coordinators with strengthening grassroots structures across communities
Seyi Tinubu Mobilizers (STM) has urged members of the organisation to intensify door-to-door and street-to-street campaigns in support of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 general elections.
It Convener, Hon. Engr. Bode Olabisi (IRAWO) gave the charge at the STM town hall meeting held at Classic Arena Event Centre, Alagbado, Lagos State, on Friday, October 9, 2026, where he called for stronger grassroots structures and sustained engagement with residents.
The meeting, themed, “Strengthening Grassroots Mobilization for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Re-election in 2027,” brought together the organisation’s executive members, political leaders, coordinators and other participants to discuss strategies for expanding its grassroots mobilisation ahead of the elections.
In his keynote address, Olabisi said political mobilisation should go beyond meetings and social media campaigns to include direct engagement with residents in their streets, neighbourhoods, markets and communities.
He urged coordinators to organise their teams, identify communities for outreach, set clear targets, train volunteers and regularly assess their activities.
According to him, effective grassroots mobilisation requires proper planning, teamwork, consistency and clear communication with the people.
Olabisi also stressed the need for members to communicate verified information about government policies and programmes while listening to residents’ concerns and encouraging constructive discussions about the country’s future.
He called on members to conduct their activities peacefully, respectfully and in accordance with the law, noting that political engagement should respect citizens’ freedom to make independent choices.
The STM convener highlighted the roles of young people, women, community leaders and volunteers in building an organised and accountable mobilisation network.
He urged participants to translate the discussions at the meeting into practical action by returning to their respective communities with clear plans for door-to-door engagement and sustained outreach.
“The success of our mobilization efforts will depend on what we do after leaving this venue,” Olabisi said, urging members to strengthen coordination and maintain meaningful relationships with residents.
He reiterated the organisation’s commitment to strengthening its grassroots structures in pursuit of its stated objective of supporting Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Among the dignitaries at the meeting were Hon. Bola Olabisi, Majority Leader of Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area; Hon. Ademola Oseni; Hon. Oyeleke Olabisi; Hon. Bukola Sobo Olabisi; Hon. Olaolu Fawole; and Hon. Otaru Babafemi, alongside other STM executive members and participants.
Olabisi further called for improved teamwork, stronger coordination, responsible political communication and sustained community engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections.
