Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja have alleged marginalisation in appointment of mandate secretaries by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
Led by Lawrence Mbanefo, the APC members said “it is disservice” to ignore those who worked day and night for the party in appointments of such magnitude. They accused the minister of appointing opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members at the detriment of APC members.
Wike’s appointment, they maintained, is not a licence for him to see the FCT as a reward mechanism for his people in PDP without recourse to the interest of APC that honoured him with such a position.
They called on the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, to look into their plight and redress it now before it gets out of hand. Calling for the removal of the newly-appointed mandate secretaries, they threatened to demonstrate openly over the “injustice” meted out to them.
