APC support groups hold solidarity walk for Tinubu ahead of inauguration

APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu
Ahead of May 29 inauguration of the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the umbrella body of the All Progressives Congress (APC) support groups, the Amalgamated APC Support Groups, South-West zone, yesterday, staged a solidarity walk to the Lagos State seat of power to register their support for the inauguration and disagreement with those trying to fan the embers of division in the country over an alleged Interim National Government (ING) plot.
The South-West Coordinator of the group, Alhaji Ganiyu Akeem Adesina, who spoke with journalists, said the solidarity walk was organised to show the strong and unflinching determination of the APC support groups in South-West to see that Tinubu is inaugurated as President.
Adesina said the support groups had an overwhelming support base of over five million people in South-West alone, adding that the walk is a strong warning to those who believe they can subvert the will of the generality of Nigerians and force the President to go against the constitution of the country by not inaugurating the winner of the February 25, 2023 election as president.
Also speaking, Deputy Chairman of the APC support groups in South-West, Johnson Adepoju Ademola, said they came out en-masse to show everyone that APC supporters in South-West are not ready to settle for anything other than the inauguration of the president-elect.
He also urged President Muhammadu Buhari not to listen to dissenting voices that are urging him to disregard the outcome of the February 25, 2023 election and inaugurate an Interim National Government.
In the same vein, the State Co-ordinator of the group, Dr. Erinola Abayomuyiwa Eric, said the crowd of support groups that showed up for the solidarity walk was a clear indication that the presidential election was not rigged but that the people freely gave the winner of the election their votes.
