The Allied Peoples Movement Governorship Candidate in Bauchi State, Yakubu Adamu, has donated N200 million as a bursary for Bauchi State students to assist their studies.

Director-General of the Yakubu Adamu Governorship Campaign Council, Hamza Koshe Akuyam, in a statement, said that the bursary programme is one of the many initiatives of Yakubu, aimed at empowering the people of Bauchi State, particularly the youth, in the areas of education, entrepreneurship, agriculture,, technology, trade, artisanship, and other areas of human development.

Akuyam said that Yakubu believes that one of the ways to support education and encourage the students to pursue their studies is by providing bursaries to ease their financial burden and enable them to meet the basic needs of their academic life.

According to him, “Dr. Yakubu Adamu has launched a bursary programme worth N200 million. The funds for this bursary programme are part of the millions of naira donated to the candidate by friends and well-wishers in support of his campaign. In his commitment to education and the welfare of Bauchi State students, Dr. Yakubu Adamu personally redirected a portion of these campaign donations to fund the N200 million bursary programme.”

The Campaign Council urged interested students of Bauchi State studying in tertiary institutions across the country to apply for the bursary programme through: https://kitescholar.ng/en/scholarships/
