Chieftain tasks Taraba PDP, APC on governance

Kaigama
Social Democratic Party (SDP) ex-candidate for Gassol/Bali Federal Constituency, Kenneth Kaigama, has explained his defection to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Citing dissatisfaction with the performance of opposition parties in Taraba State, he added that the decision to join the ruling PDP in the state became necessary.

Kaigama, who announced his decision at the weekend, described opposition parties in the state as “docile,” decrying their alleged inability to effectively challenge the governing party.

He accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of failing to provide meaningful opposition, despite being the ruling party at the federal level.
 “T
he APC, since their loss in the last election, has become irrelevant and plagued by leadership crises,” Kaigama said, adding: “They have failed to engage the government constructively, and this lack of accountability undermines good governance.”
