Enugu West Senatorial District, on Wednesday, made a coordinated declaration of support for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Peter Mbah ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The event, described by organisers as more than a routine political gathering, is positioned as a strategic convergence of influence, structure and grassroots mobilisation aimed at delivering a clear message of unity and political direction.

In a statement by the Chairman of the Media and Publicity Subcommittee, Hon. Emeka Aneke, the rally is designed to mobilize and project the unified voice of the people, bringing together political leaders, traditional institutions, stakeholders, youth movements and women groups from across the district in a show of strength and cohesion.

He noted that preparations are underway for a mega endorsement rally already generating momentum across the state.

Aneke said: “This rally is a historic convergence of leadership and grassroots will. It is a bold affirmation of confidence in leadership that delivers results, and a clear commitment to continuity, stability, and accelerated progress.”

Also speaking, Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Dr. C.O.C. Egumgbe, the event represents a defining political moment.

He said: “The rally will feature high-level goodwill messages from key actors across all arms of influence, including the Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, members of the National Assembly, traditional rulers, party leadership, and other critical stakeholders.

“At the heart of the event lies the formal endorsement ceremony, to be presided over by the Distinguished Senator representing Enugu West, Senator Osita Ngwu, serving as Presiding Officer Pro Tempore.

“In a carefully structured and high-impact session, representatives of all major political and socio-institutional blocs in Enugu West will collectively and publicly ratify the decision of the people, following extensive consultations and consensus-building across the district.

“The rally will culminate in an official and binding declaration, signaling a unanimous, unequivocal, and irreversible endorsement of President Tinubu and Governor Mbah for a second term in office.”

He noted that Governor Mbah is expected to deliver a keynote address, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to transformative governance, economic expansion and inclusive development across Enugu State.

He added, “Beyond the immediate event, this rally is widely regarded as a political signal of significant weight, positioning Enugu West as a decisive bloc and strategic force in shaping the political direction of Enugu State and Nigeria as a whole.

“This is not just an endorsement, it is a mandate backed by the full weight of the people.”
