Ibadan Polytechnic appoints Oyeleke as Deputy Rector

The Polytechnic, Ibadan has announced the appointment of Mr. Augustine Bayo Oyeleke as the new Deputy Rector of the institution following his election by the members of the Board of Studies at a keenly contested election.

The Polytechnic, Ibadan has announced the appointment of Mr. Augustine Bayo Oyeleke as the new Deputy Rector of the institution following his election by the members of the Board of Studies at a keenly contested election.

A Master Degree holder in Visual Art from the University of Ibadan, the new Deputy Rector is also an alumnus of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife‎ where he bagged his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art.

Oyeleke, who began his teaching career in Osun State College Of Education, Ilesa, from where he transferred his services to the Polytechnic, Ibadan in 1992‎ has many academic papers and art works to his credit.

Before his new appointment, Oyeleke was the Dean, Students’ Affairs in addition to other positions of responsibilities he had held in the institution
In a related development, the institution’s management has congratulated the new Ooni-elect, Prince Adeyeye Eniitan Ogunwusi, an alumnus of the ‎institution.

The management described the appointment of Prince Ogunwusi as a pride to The Polytechnic, Ibadan, adding, “The appointment has further confirmed the capacity of The Polytechnic, Ibadan as a first class institution which has trained many distinguished Nigerians including the incumbent governors of Osun and Ekiti States, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and Ayodele Fayose respectively”.

Expressing confidence that the new Ooni-elect will bring his wealth of experience to bear on the throne, based on his pedigree, antecedents and unparalleled achievements in many spheres of life, the management prayed to God to give him wisdom to pilot the affairs of the ancient city to a greater height.
