Senator Isah Jibrin has declared that he remains the authentic candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Kogi East Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 elections.

The senator made the declaration while dismissing reports alleging that he had agreed not to contest the APC senatorial primaries.

Describing the reports as false, fabricated and politically motivated, Jibrin said he never withdrew from the race nor authorised anyone to issue statements on his behalf suggesting otherwise.

“I remain the authentic APC candidate for Kogi East and I am fully committed to seeking the mandate of my people again in 2027,” he stated.

He accused unnamed political actors of spreading misinformation and fake narratives to create confusion within the party and weaken his growing support base.

The lawmaker urged party leaders, supporters and stakeholders across Kogi East not to be distracted by what he described as desperate propaganda from political opponents.

According to him, no amount of falsehood or sponsored campaign can erode the confidence and goodwill he enjoys among the people of the district.

Jibrin further reaffirmed his commitment to quality representation, peace and development in Kogi East, assuring supporters that he remains focused ahead of the 2027 political contest.
