The Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KAD-SIECOM) has presented a timetable for the screening exercise for Councillorship and Chairmanship candidates ahead of the local government election slated for Oct. 19, 2024.

This is contained in a timetable signed by Mrs Hajara Mohammed, Chairman of the commission issued in Kaduna on Friday.

It showed that the screening exercise for all the chairmanship and councillorship candidates has been scheduled to hold from Monday, Sept. 9 to Monday, Sept. 16, from 9am to 6 am daily at the respective local government headquarters.

“I wish to refer to Section 19 of the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission Law 2024, item No 9 of the 2024 Local Government Council Election Time Table and P.9 item No. 3 of the Guidelines.

“Based on the above, you are by the notice informed that the screening exercise for the prospective Chairmanship and Councillorship Candidates is scheduled to be held from Monday, Sept. 9 to Monday, Sept. 16, 2024, from 9 am to 6 am daily,” the timetable said.
