Fielding questions from reporters According to him, “We’re not planning on merging with any political party or joining a coalition. We will produce our presidential candidate.
“The party is ready to go through the process of producing a viable presidential capable of challenging the incumbent government in 2027.”
Obi said that the Federal High Court had ended the internal crisis within the party on Tuesday when Justice Joyce Abdulmalik dismissed an appeal file by Chief Edozie Njoku’s faction of the party.
He said that the party is one standing as one of the strongest political parties in the country at the moment without internal crisis like other opposition parties.
According to him, the NRM is ready to support any aspirant strong enough to contest any available position in the coming general election.
Obi said: “We want Nigerians to know that the impression they have that the NRM has a crisis because of some individuals who are not even members of the party, that there’s no single crisis in NRM.
“There’s still good political parties. The NRM is the one prepared to rescue Nigeria for the current situation.”
