‘Obaseki’s second term bid not negotiable’

No fewer than 300 members of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Esan North East Local Government Area of Edo State at the weekend defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) with a view to ensuring Governor Godwin Obaseki’s reelection.

No fewer than 300 members of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Esan North East Local Government Area of Edo State at the weekend defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) with a view to ensuring Governor Godwin Obaseki’s reelection.

The former SDP members who were led by Cyril Odiboh joined the APC at a rally organised by the Joseph Ikpea Support Group for Governor Obaseki and his Deputy, Philip Shaibu.

Odiboh said they were joining the APC due to the party’s performance in the state, adding that Obaseki’s development strides were second to none.

He advised leaders of Edo Central district support Obaseki/Shiabu re-election bid, noting that Obaseki’s second term was not negotiable.Speaking, Ikpea, who is patron of the group, said the group was determined in its pursuit of Obaseki’s second term bid.
