Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has underscored a national governance crisis, citing the recurrent grievances voiced by citizens across Kogi, Benue, and Enugu states.

While writing on his Handle, he observed that the consistent requests from these communities reflect a pressing need for fundamental governance changes rather than extravagant demands.

During his engagements in areas such as Olamaboro in Kogi, Otukpa in Benue, and Obollo Afor in Enugu, Obi observed that residents were united in their struggles with insecurity, the lack of job opportunities, and inadequate access to quality healthcare and education.

He pointed out that these systemic issues extend beyond isolated regions, indicating a broader national concern.

Obi began his outreach in Kogi, where he engaged with local stakeholders and party supporters.

He reaffirmed his commitment to prioritizing security, healthcare, education, and poverty alleviation in the NDC’s political agenda.

As he moved to Benue and Enugu, he spoke with traders about the economic hardships they face, emphasizing the government’s responsibility to create an enabling environment for small businesses to flourish.

Encouraging active participation in the upcoming elections, Obi urged supporters to not only vote but also safeguard their ballots to ensure a fair electoral process.
He concluded the day by attending a birthday celebration for a community leader, reinforcing his connection with local citizens, and visiting traditional rulers to strengthen his commitment to rebuilding trust between government and the populace.
