Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has restated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s resolve to wrestle power from the ruling APC at the Federal Government level come 2023.

Okowa, while speaking with journalists immediately after receiving a political group in Warri South council of the state, reaffirmed his resolve not to be distracted by politics of 2023.

While applauding the group for wooing over 54 former members of APC in Okumagba and Edjeba wards to the ruling party in the state, the governor said the reigns of PDP would be a blessing to all Nigerians.

Okowa assured party faithful of a level-playing field for those aspiring to succeed him, a pronouncement that was widely welcomed by the crowd.

The group spokesperson, Festus Igherebuo, who led the defected APC Members, stated that the PDP had witnessed tremendous gains from the governor and his government over the years.

He also commended other PDP leaders for their commitment to ensuring stability in the state, and said the party would emerge victorious at all levels in the forthcoming elections.
