Olujimi faction of Ekiti PDP to appeal unfavourable judgment

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faction loyal to the Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District, Biodun Olujimi, yesterday, said it would appeal the judgment that dismissed the suit seeking to upturn the party’s ward congress.

The Appeal Court sitting in Ado EkitI had, last week, dismissed the suit filed by the faction over the congress that produced the present Ekiti State Ward Executive Committee members.

Olujimi’s faction had, through Oladimeji Samson Olalekan and others, filed a motion ex-parte, seeking an order of the court, restraining the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) from announcing, publishing, and recognising any list from the election of Ward Executives and three ad-hoc delegates, held on March 7, 2020.
