A former Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development in Ondo State, Sola Amodeni, has vowed to consolidate on the strides of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his quest to lead the ruling party in the state.
With the party yet to announce a date for the congresses, the contest for the top seat, zoned to Ondo North Senatorial District of the state, is already gaining momentum with contenders, such as Victor Olabimtan (former Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly), Lasisi Oluboyo (former deputy governor) and Kolawole Babatunde (former MHR) already showing interest.
Amodeni, during his declaration in Akure, expressed confidence in his ability to lead the party, citing his vast experience in governance and party administration as key qualifications for the role.
According to him, the APC in Ondo State has recorded significant progress in recent years, and his leadership would ensure the sustenance and improvement of strides and successes, particularly unity among members and future elections.
Amodeni emphasised his commitment to fostering unity among party members, enhancing grassroots mobilisation. and implementing strategies that would solidify the APC’s dominance in the state.
