Voting has begun in most polling units in the Akoko axis in the Ondo North Senatorial District of Ondo State.

With election materials arriving ahead of time, the electorate converged on the various polling booths to confirm their names from the past voters’ register.

While monitoring the process, the voters queued up to be accredited and in turn vote for their preferred candidate.

Meanwhile, at Edo Ward Igbede Unit 7, Ikare-Akoko Local Council Area of the State, an official of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) was seen reading the riot act to the prospective voters against vote trading.

At Polling Unit 003, Ibewari 1, Post Office Office Premises, Ward 14-Oba-Akoko, Akoko South West Local Council, voting has also commenced.
