Pro-Tinubu group in early campaign set up, national, zonal leads

President Bola Tinubu

The Asiwaju Re-election Frontiers (ARF), a prominent political support group, has formally inaugurated its national and zonal coordinators to establish a robust, disciplined grassroots mobilisation structure ahead of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

National and South-West Coordinator of the group, Ambassador Olasimbo Akinyele, stated that the strategic move is aimed at fostering stakeholder collaboration, effective policy communication, and peaceful political participation across the country.

Speaking at a press conference to mark the inauguration, Akinyele explained that the group’s strong backing for President Tinubu is anchored on the conviction that the current administration should be given adequate time and opportunity to successfully implement its comprehensive reform agenda.

He expressed optimism about the administration’s vision while acknowledging the socio-economic challenges currently confronting Nigerians, including the rising cost of living, unemployment and security concerns.

The National and South-West Coordinator stressed that these pressing issues must remain central to ongoing political discussions.

According to him, “Addressing these concerns should remain central to political discussions while reforms must translate into meaningful improvements in citizens’ lives.”

He noted that the newly inaugurated zonal coordinators are tasked with engaging local political stakeholders, coordinating state structures and expanding the group’s community presence.

The newly appointed coordinators are Comrade Malcolm Adakole (North-Central), Kachalla Mohammed (North-East), Abubakar Muhammed (North-West), Mrs Juliet Benson (South-East), Abel Asuquo (South-South), with Akinyele himself overseeing the South-West.

Akinyele charged the team to demonstrate exceptional accountability, organisational competence and a genuine commitment to uniting members.

He equally highlighted that nationwide grassroots mobilisation, youth and women inclusion and peaceful democratic engagement remain the group’s core priorities.

Reassuring the public of the organisation’s adherence to democratic tenets, he pledged that the ARF would operate strictly within the bounds of the Nigeria’s constitution and electoral laws while rejecting all forms of political violence.

He called on community leaders, professional bodies and allied political groups to collaborate with the organisation in driving its vision forward ahead of the 2027 general election.
