Senator Buba flags off rural road construction in Bauchi
Senator Shehu Buba, representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, has on Saturday flagged off the construction of a rural road in the Zaranda community, Toro local government area of the state, saying it is part of his electioneering promises.
The lawmaker said that the road project is part of his constituency projects in 2024, which have been approved for execution.
Buba said that with the cooperation of the benefiting community, the 2.3km road would be delivered for use within one month.
“As a candidate trying to represent you as your senator in 2023, I pledged to relentlessly pursue meaningful and life-changing projects, provide for your common good and your sustained welfare,” he said.
The senator said that the road project was an attestation of his vows, which he made with the Holy Quran on the floor of the Assembly to provide quality representation. Buba added that the awarded project was part of his numerous constituency projects to be delivered this year.
Three weeks ago, he announced the construction of two roads in the area, saying that the state government commenced the road. He said he would redirect the funds to execute another road.
Buba promised to extend the government interventions to the seven local government areas of Bauchi South – Alkaleri, Bauchi, Bogoro, Dass, Kirfi, Tafawa Balewa, and Toro.
