Rivers State Governor Siminalaye Fubara

Amidst the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State, a pro-Governor Siminalayi Fubara group, known as Simplicity Movement, has cautioned troublemakers and those sowing seeds of discord and anarchy to stay away from the state.

The group also warned that it would not sit idly by while certain individuals attempt to disrupt the state’s progress.

Led by Sobomabo Jackrich, a former governorship candidate of the Nigeria Rescue Movement (NRM), the group made this declaration during the official opening of its office in Port Harcourt, vowing to stand with the governor in defending the interests of the state.

The National Spokesperson of the group, Kelly Rufus, said: “Despite the economic downturn, you have embarked on the most ambitious development projects in Rivers State, which are visible realities, such as the Port Harcourt Ring Road Project, now at an advanced stage, opening up new opportunities and transforming the economic landscape of Rivers State.”

The group also praised the governor’s efforts in the healthcare sector, stating, “Your administration is making significant progress in building general hospitals across the state, alongside zonal hospitals, showcasing your commitment to affordable healthcare for all.”

Rufus said that the overwhelming majority of Rivers people support the governor, adding that no internal or external force can thwart their collective will.

He added, “Rivers State is peaceful and thriving under the leadership of Governor Fubara, and we will not allow anyone to derail the progress we are making.”

The group also commended President Bola Tinubu for remaining neutral in the political crisis affecting the state.
