Tinubu, Ajimobi receive Alao-Akala, Folarin to APC

The ranks of opposition parties in Oyo State depleted on Saturday, as hundreds of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP) and ACCORD joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibadan.

The ranks of opposition parties in Oyo State depleted on Saturday, as hundreds of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP) and ACCORD joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibadan.

Receiving the defectors the National Leader of APC, Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu, said opposition parties in Oyo State are dead, stressing that APC is the only progressive party in Nigeria and Africa.

The event, which took place at the historic Mapo Hall was attended by Governors Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo and Rauf Aregbesola of Osun States, and former Governor Segun Oni and other APC chieftains.

Former Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala led the defectors.
